Medical Devices

    Overview:

Medical devices and clinical products have high requirements for protective vents. Apart from filtrating almost all the dust, bacteria and virus, it is also necessary to keep water and almost all the liquids outside. Meanwhile, it is required that the protective vents can keep excellent air permeability after the products have contacted water and liquids.

    Ostomy bags

Ostomy bags are used to protect the stomas. So it is critical to isolate bacteria, virus, solid and liquid contaminant. Generally speaking, ostomy bags have to eliminate some gases which can damage the stomas. So ostomy bags require the protective vents not only stop bacteria, virus, solid and liquid contaminant, but also adsorb the harmful gases. Meanwhile, the protective vents are required to maintain good and continuous air permeability to avoid the breeding of anaerobes and to keep the stoma comfortable. It ensures the ostomy bags to keep possible contamination and harmful gases outside while keeping good venting performance.

    Urine bags

Urine bags are assisted medical devices used to collect the extraneous urine. While urine has entered the urine bags, air pressure will increase because of the reduced volume, which threatens the sealing integrity of the urine bags. It is necessary to connect the surrounding air with the urine bag for pressure equalization, but to avoid the leakage of the urine. The protective vents can stop the leakage of urine, but allow air pass through freely. Then it ensures the reliability of the urine bags in operation. And it also avoids the troubles of the patients because of urine overflow.

    Transducer protectors

For the liquid medicine bottles used to fill the injecta such as glucose and normal saline, air pressure of the bottom of the liquid medicine bottles will become lower with the injecta flowing into the infusion tube. Then it is necessary to connect the bottles with air to avoid the blood to suck back. Also, the leakage of the injeta has to be avoided when connecting to the air. In fact our protective vents here act as a transducer protector. The excellent air perm of our vents connects the internal space with air during the whole operation process. The excellent waterproof performance of caron avoids the leakage of injecta. The protective vents won’t change after radiation sterilization, then the safety of the medical device is reliable after sterilization.
